Browser-based compliance workspace

Tachograph analysis software for drivers and fleets.

Upload driver card or vehicle unit (VU) files, understand the recorded activity, review the infringements — each with its severity, measured values and legal reference — and create the reports your follow-up needs.

TachoAssist tachograph analysis software dashboard showing fleet totals, infringement trends and the drivers to debrief first

From the original file to a responsible review.

Tachograph analysis should do more than turn a .DDD file into a table. A useful workspace keeps the source record connected to the driver’s day, the VU data, every automated infringement and the report produced from it.

TachoAssist is designed for individual drivers and transport businesses that want this work in a modern browser. It reads the common tachograph formats — .ddd, .esm, .tgd, .c1b, .v1b, .a1b and .add, individually or in a ZIP — and applies the rules of 28 jurisdictions: the UK and all 27 EU member states. It is not live vehicle tracking, and automated infringements do not replace professional judgement.

One workspace, two sides of the tachograph record.

Driver card and vehicle unit (VU) files answer different questions. TachoAssist keeps both clear without presenting one as a substitute for the other.

Driver card analysis

Review weeks, days, timelines, monthly calendars, activities, places and infringement explanations for an individual driver.

Vehicle unit (VU) analysis

Review vehicle identity, detected drivers, downloads, events, faults, odometer records and recorded positions from VU files.

Fleet compliance overview

Search and filter infringements, compare severity and rules, and see which drivers to debrief first.

See the activity behind the infringement.

Dates, measured values, rule categories, explanations and the surrounding activity turn an automated result into something you can actually debrief a driver on.

  • Drivers’ hours infringements under assimilated GB and EU rules
  • Working Time (WTD) infringements
  • Tachograph-rule infringements
  • Severity from minor to most serious, with the legal reference
  • Domestic rule sets for 28 jurisdictions — the UK and all 27 EU member states
  • Mobility Package drivers’-hours and tachograph rules, international-driver identification and border crossings
  • Fleet filters, severity and rule breakdowns
  • Driver comparison and risk scores that point to the drivers to debrief first

Responsible use: TachoAssist supports compliance work. Automated infringements must be reviewed and are not legal advice or a definitive statement of compliance.

Questions

Tachograph analysis software FAQ

What does tachograph analysis software do?

It turns driver card and vehicle unit (VU) records into readable activity, infringements, fleet comparisons and reports. The value comes from keeping those outputs connected to the source records — the date, the measured value and the legal reference behind every infringement.

Can TachoAssist analyse driver cards and vehicle unit files?

Yes. Driver supports driver card files. Business supports driver card and VU files — .ddd, .esm, .tgd, .c1b, .v1b, .a1b and .add, individually or in a ZIP — plus fleet functionality, API upload or import and archiving.

Which rules does TachoAssist help review?

Drivers’ hours under assimilated GB and EU rules, Working Time (WTD), tachograph rules and the domestic rule sets of 28 jurisdictions — the UK and all 27 EU member states — with full support for the Mobility Package drivers’-hours and tachograph rules. International capabilities include driver identification, border crossings, the international derogation, weekly rest compensation ordering, rest taken on a ferry or train, and an optional advisory return-home check (Art. 8(8a)). The applicable rules and context must still be confirmed.

Is it live vehicle tracking software?

No. TachoAssist analyses uploaded tachograph records. Positions shown on a vehicle unit map are historical records contained in the file, not a live vehicle location.

How much does TachoAssist cost?
