Tachograph analysis software for professional drivers

Download your card, upload the file and see your own week the way an analyst would: your activity, your infringements and your Working Time (WTD), with the measured values and the rule behind each one.

TachoAssist driver overview showing activity totals, driving limits, unknown periods and an infringement summary for one driver

See your own card before anyone else reads it.

The Driver workspace is built for one driver — you. Your uploaded file, your daily activity, your drivers’ hours and Working Time (WTD) infringements, your calendar and your reports stay together, so you can see exactly what the tachograph recorded and where a day went wrong.

It is useful before a debrief, when you want to know what your transport manager is about to raise; it is useful after one, when you want to check the dates for yourself; and it is useful when you are moving between operators and want your own copy of the record.

TachoAssist analyses records you upload, and the free TachoAssist Card Reader app gets the file off your own card in the first place — Windows or Android, any standard USB reader, no account needed to read and save it. TachoAssist does not track a vehicle live or work out your remaining driving time for today — that is your tachograph’s job, not ours.

Follow the day from the file to the infringement.

Start with the view that answers the immediate question, then open the detail when a date or a rule needs a closer look.

Your card, uploaded and analysed

Upload your driver card file and review driving, other work, POA (period of availability), breaks, daily and weekly rest, places and totals.

Timeline and calendar

Move from a month or a week into the exact sequence of recorded activity for the day in question — card-in to card-out.

Your infringements, explained

Drivers’ hours, Working Time (WTD) and tachograph-rule infringements with the date, the measured value, a plain-English explanation and the legal reference — and the severity, from minor through to most serious.

Your own records

Reports and reminders, without the fleet-only tools.

Your reports

Create a report from your own card data for whatever period you need — a week, a month, or the run-up to a debrief.

Dates that matter

Your card expiry date, the days since your last available download and a reminder before the 28-day card download deadline.

File history

Go back to the files you uploaded and keep them connected to the analysis, so the record is yours and not only the operator’s.

Check it yourself: automated infringements support your review. They are not legal advice, and they are not a guarantee that a day is clean.

Missing days and manual entries

Find the gaps in your card data before someone else does.

Where your manual entries do not account for a period, TachoAssist shows the gap — start, end and duration — and leaves it to you to say what happened. It does not decide that a missing day was rest.

  • Unknown start and end time identified
  • Duration made clear for review
  • Gap kept connected to your driver record
  • No automatic classification of the missing activity

Questions

Tachograph software for drivers FAQ

What can I upload?

Your own driver card files. Vehicle unit (VU) files, multi-driver fleet tools and Business API upload belong to the Business plan.

How much is the Driver plan?

£2.00 a month for one driver profile — about 46p a week. Prices are in GBP and no VAT is charged, there is no minimum term, and no payment card details are needed to start the 14-day free trial.

Does it show my remaining driving time for today?

No. TachoAssist reviews records after the card has been downloaded, so it tells you what has already happened rather than counting down the driving time you have left. Your tachograph does that.

Can I use it if my operator already analyses my card?

Yes. Plenty of drivers want their own copy of the record — the same dates, measured values and legal references — before a debrief, or when moving between operators. TachoAssist analyses the file you upload and does not connect to your operator’s system.

Does TachoAssist decide what an unknown period means?

No. TachoAssist presents the gap for review but does not automatically classify the missing activity.
