About TachoAssist

Make tachograph records easier to understand and use.

TachoAssist is a browser-based tachograph compliance platform for individual drivers and transport businesses. It connects source data to drivers, vehicles, compliance rules, infringements, reports and documentation.

Focused on tachograph compliance and fleet compliance operations.

TachoAssist is built around tachograph analysis, the rules that apply to drivers and the operational work required to keep fleet compliance organised. It is not positioned as a TMS, telematics service or general fleet-management replacement.

TachoAssist reads the common tachograph file formats — .ddd, .esm, .tgd, .c1b, .v1b, .a1b and .add, individually or in a ZIP — and applies drivers’ hours, Working Time (WTD) and tachograph rules across 28 jurisdictions: the United Kingdom and all 27 EU member states, including each country’s domestic rule set.

The product brings driver card and vehicle unit (VU) data together with those country-specific rules, full support for the Mobility Package drivers’-hours and tachograph rules, fleet organisation, reminders, reports and documentation. Historical positions remain clearly separate from live tracking.

What the platform is designed to connect.

Analysis and compliance rules

Connect driver card and vehicle unit (VU) records to drivers’ hours, Working Time (WTD), domestic rules and the Mobility Package drivers’-hours and tachograph rules.

Drivers, vehicles and fleet structure

Move between drivers, vehicles, risk indicators, reminders and groups without losing the underlying source context.

Reports and documentation

Use explanations, legal references, scheduled report configurations, attestations and history to support review and follow-up.

Principles behind the product.

  • Keep important information as readable HTML, not only in screenshots
  • Make the source and scope of a result clear
  • Separate historical recorded positions from live tracking
  • State plan limits and prices transparently
  • Keep automated infringements subject to human review

Compliance support, not legal advice. TachoAssist helps users organise and review tachograph information. Automated infringements must be checked against the source records and the relevant circumstances.

The product supports assimilated GB and EU drivers’ hours, Working Time (WTD), tachograph rules, configured domestic requirements and the Mobility Package drivers’-hours and tachograph rules. The exact rules that apply depend on the country, vehicle, journey, worker and operation.
