Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 July 2026

These terms govern your use of TachoAssist ("the service"), a browser-based tachograph analysis tool operated by TachoAssist ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

1. The service

TachoAssist lets you upload digital tachograph files (driver-card and vehicle-unit .DDD files), review the recorded activity, receive automated rule checks and generate reports. The service supports compliance work — it does not replace it.

2. Accounts and workspaces

3. Trial, plans and payment

4. Your data

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service — including attempting to access other users' data, disrupting the service, reverse-engineering it, or using it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

6. Compliance disclaimer

Automated analysis can contain errors and rule interpretations can change. TachoAssist's output is an aid, not legal advice and not a definitive statement of compliance. You remain responsible for your own regulatory obligations, and should verify findings before acting on them.

7. Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update the service and these terms. If we make material changes we will notify account owners by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Termination

You can delete your data and stop using the service at any time. We may terminate accounts for breach of these terms. On termination we delete workspace data in line with the privacy policy.

10. Contact and governing law

Questions about these terms: contact@tachoassist.com. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
