Can I organise each client’s data separately?
Yes. Create a group for each client in both the Drivers and Vehicles lists, then move their drivers and vehicles into the relevant group. Groups appear as folders. On the Reports page, select a group to include that client’s drivers or vehicles in the report.
Who pays, and how?
You pay TachoAssist and your clients pay you. Add a payment card through Stripe in your workspace. At the end of each billing month, you pay £3.49 for each driver whose data was imported that month, or about 81p a week. There is no minimum number of drivers, and you can cancel at any time. You set your own rates and invoice your clients directly.
How do I get the card and vehicle unit files?
Read driver cards with the free Card Reader for Windows or Android and any standard USB card reader. Upload vehicle unit files from a download key, a remote download service or your clients. Supported formats include .ddd, .c1b, .v1b and other common formats. On VDO DTCO 4.1a and Stoneridge SE5000-8.1 tachographs, the Android Card Reader can also download the vehicle unit over Bluetooth with the operator’s company card inserted; this is in beta.
Do my clients need an account?
No. You manage the workspace and send reports to your clients. They can send you their files, or you can download the data yourself. Your clients do not need an account, a payment card or any software to receive your reports.
What does the client receive?
You send your clients the reports you generate for their drivers and vehicles, including infringement reports in PDF or Excel and the Attestation of Activities. Drivers receive and sign debriefs on their phones in the Companion app. Signed debriefs can be downloaded as PDFs.
What happens after the 14 days?
The trial covers up to 5 active drivers and requires no payment card, so you will not be charged when it ends. To continue uploading and analysing files, subscribe at £3.49 per active driver per month. Otherwise, your workspace becomes read-only: you can still access existing data and reports, but uploads and analysis pause until you subscribe.
